Hey there, I'm Devin!
Most of the time you can catch me deep in the world of internal comms at Workshop (yes, the Happy Mondays folks!), and while I love AI, there are just some comms questions that need a human who really gets it… that’s me!
Hi Devin. Happy New Year!! My question is for internal comms job seekers. What are your go-to niche job boards or platforms you’d recommend for internal comms roles beyond LinkedIn? With how saturated it’s become, I’m hoping to explore a few more targeted options.
Hi! Happy New Year! There are quite a few communities (as opposed to traditional job boards) popping up that make it a bit easier to find internal comms roles or even just connect with people who truly get the work. And because these spaces are more focused, the person sharing a role is often the hiring manager or someone closely connected to the team!
One of those is CommsChat — a community that Workshop actually runs. I do my best to post open roles on our job board regularly. I’ve already seen some exciting ones come through at the start of the year and am always happy to put in a good word for my comms besties!
Another great one is #CommsJobs. Yes, it lives on LinkedIn, but it’s curated by Daniel Méndez Aróstica, who’s been such a consistent advocate for internal comms and does a great job spotlighting relevant openings.
Finally, if you want to give LinkedIn another shot, my trick is searching “internal comms” in the search bar (add your location if you want to pare down the results), then filter by most recent posts. Sometimes people don’t create a job listing — they just talk about the role in a post. That’s actually how I found my role at Workshop! Jamie, our CMO, made a LinkedIn post. So while it’s definitely saturated, there are still some gems.
Wishing you all the best in your search!
